The Summerfields Railway (also known locally as the Haynes Miniature Railway) has been built by the Bedford Model Engineering Society as a place for members to run their locos.
It is actually three railways all linked together, Summerfields, Winterfield and Springfield.
On certain days of the year they open the railway to the public so that you can come along and see and experience miniature steam.
For a small fare you can take a trip on the steam or diesel service around any of the three railways.
They also try to have a half scale steam bus at the open days giving rides, this was built by one of the dedicated members. Its all great fun for kids and adults seem to love it too!
