Although here in Shefford you are deep in the middle of rural Mid Bedfordshire having a leisure area of recreation and relaxation whatever season is essential. It's a way for the kids to let off steam with the slides, swings and climbing frame areas.
The edges of the park are lined with established mature and growing trees and bushes so the chances of seeing wildlife feasting off the park floor is also very likely.
The Gala and other events such as the Circus Big Top and Cricket tournaments are a spectacle on the park. Kite flying is also a favourite on the park with plenty of big skies in the middle. The Bowls Club also has its own dedicated green next to the park.
The building of the Shefford Town Memorial Association (STMA) on the main entrance to the park itself has many regular clubs and societies using the main hall including; Karate, The British Legion, Belly Dancing and The Vintage Motorcycle Club. There is plenty of car parking to accomodate reasonably large parties.
The hall can also be booked out for private functions where required with use of the bar, kitchen and toilet facilities.
So if you have some spare time or happen to be close by wander over the park and enjoy some "time out". Dust your old kite off you never know where it might lead?!
